Biodiversity Week 2022 at Ennis Friary
May 2022 sees the introduction of a ‘Cúinne an ghiorria’, a Hare’s Corner in a section of the graveyard that will be left wild for pollinators.
We have updated our biodiversity photograph album on the friary facebook page with some more images of the flora and fauna found around the site.
On Sunday 22 May, International Biodiversity Day, at 12 noon for kids aged 8 – 12, we will have a guided nature trail of the friary, highlighting the flora and fauna of the friary in the present day and the depictions of the natural world left to us by the master masons of the 15th century. This is a free event; kids must be accompanied by an adult. For more details, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
