St George’s Brass Band is a traditional brass ensemble of around thirty musicians, playing cornets, trombones, horns, baritones, euphoniums, basses and flugelhorns. One of the longest-existing brass bands in Ireland, St. George’s was founded in 1936 in St George’s Parish in North Dublin, Ireland. The band plays a very wide repertoire of music and has a proud history of entertaining the public at garden fetes, summer events and in Dublin’s parks and bandstands.
