An evening concert featuring the very best of traditional music and song from Ireland, Canada, Sweden and the Shetland Islands

Manus McGuire (Fiddle) is an internationally recognised Irish traditional fiddle player who grew up in Sligo and is now resident in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. He has sixteen albums to his credit with Buttons & Bows, Moving Cloud, Brock McGuire Band, Full Tilt and East West Fiddles, in addition to three solo recordings. Many of the recordings were lauded by music critics at the Irish Echo and Wall Street Journal in New York, at the Irish American News in Chicago and at the Irish Times in Dublin. He was honoured to be voted male musician of the year in the U.S. in 2006 and to have won numerous awards in fiddle music at home in Ireland and in the U.S.and Canada.

Ellen O’Gorman (Fiddle) is a highly-regarded young fiddle player from Co. Waterford who has featured on ComhaltasLive and at traditional music events involving Comhaltas as well as at the popular Tune Fest held every June in Dungarvan. She has performed on broadcasts for Céilí House on RTÉ Radio 1 and in 2022 won 1st prize at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in senior duets performing with accordionist Joseph Mannion.

Garry O’Briain, (Guitarist and Mandocello player supreme) has for many years worked with Manus McGuire on recordings by Buttons & Bows as well as by East West Fiddles. He has also recorded with Skylark, Boys of the Lough and many other traditional music artists. He has numerous TV appearances and music for film adaptations to his name. His voice is sublime, as heard on his recording with East West Fiddles. He is originally from Dublin but has been living in the Burren in North Clare for over 40 years.

This evening’s concert will  in addition to Irish traditional music, feature music from Canada, Sweden and the Shetland Islands. Also, there may be songs to be heard from days gone by!
