-To promote engagement with heritage among visitors.

– To facilitate public appreciation and enjoyment of Sligo Abbey
– To utilize our heritage sites as a source of wellbeing
– To reflect the Heritage Week theme of 2025: Exploring or Foundations by facilitating participants to look more closely at the stone structure of Sligo Abbey, particularly its stone carvings and to appreciate the fundamental role of the Abbey in the development Sligo.

How?
Participants will be supplied with A4 clipboards, textured paper sheets, charcoal and other basic materials and a chair to sit on (or participants can choose to use their own art materials and seating). There will be some sheltered areas at the Abbey in the event of rain.
