IMLÉ Bio
IMLÉ have been steadily amassing a loyal fanbase and continue to develop and push boundaries with their music. They are an active and evolving project in the Irish Language music world.
The last year has seen a sold-out EP launch in Dublin, a headline slot on the Hazelwood Stage at Electric Picnic (Ireland’s biggest music festival), support slots for artists such as Damien Dempsey and David Keenan, concerts in London’s Irish Centre in Camden and Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, all the while writing and recording new material. They are known for their tight chemistry and stylistic fluidity while championing the Irish language.
IMLÉ was set up by Dublin based musician and producer Cian MacCárthaigh. It is a collective that performs in the Irish language and mixes many styles of music from trip-hop to dreampop to indie. In 2024 their song Peacach was used as the opening titles music for the Netflix series BODKIN, while in 2025 their song Fáilte 2025 was featured in House of Guinness on Netflix.
