Headquarters to Brigadier General Lowe during the Rising, the RHK was an important strategic location which the British army utilised in their suppression of the rebellion.
Historian Liz Gillis will discuss the role of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham during the events of Easter Week 1916.
Historian Liz Gillis is from the Liberties and is the author of six books focusing on the Irish Revolution including Women of the Irish Revolution, The Fall of Dublin and The Hales Brothers and the Irish Revolution.
