The ongoing and dedicated conservation and restoration work of the OPW works team and tour guides enables us to offer you a free visit to this majestic site. Why not seize the opportunity to explore on your own or take a guided tour around this 17th century star-shaped coastal artillery fort overlooking Kinsale Harbour. From military arcitecture to strict disciplinary rules and from siege warfare to the ordinary lives of the soldiers and their familes who resided here - there are many tales to uncover.
