Gartnanoul Court Cairn
Gartnanoul megalithic court tomb is a dual-court tomb, surrounded by Killykeen Forest Park. The north court has circa 10 orthostats, and measures 3.8m north-south and 3.6m east-west. Its gallery, with no roof-stones, consists of a single chamber, with a maximum height of 0.8m.
The south court, with partial remains of its cairn, measures 4m north-south and 3.6m east-west. The south court’s gallery is divided into two chambers by a low jamb, with a maximum height of 0.9m. Gortnanoul double court tomb means that both tombs are in line with each other and both have their own court.
