Work with us : Café Concessions
There are wonderful café facilities at a number of OPW heritage sites.
We expect all aspects of a visit to an OPW Heritage Site, including the Cafés and Tearooms, to showcase the best of Ireland for our domestic and international visitors. The food and beverage offering plays a key role in the presentation of our national heritage.
These cafés are run on a concession basis with the concessions advertised on e-tenders as they arise.

Ionad Cultúrtha an Phiarsaigh
The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland invite submissions from suitably qualified candidates for the operation of the Café at Ionad Cultúrtha an Phiarsaigh, Connemara, An Turlach, Ros Muc, Co. Na Gaillimhe, Galway H91 DW9A.
Ionad Cultúrtha an Phiarsaigh is located in Ros Muc, in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht. It was here that Patrick Pearse, leader of the 1916 rebellion against British rule, built a summer cottage for himself. In the state-of-the-art visitor centre you can explore the things that drew Pearse to Connemara – the area’s unique landscape and the ancient Gaelic culture and language which is still alive today. A short stroll across the bog will take you to the cottage itself.
Attractive conditions and concession arrangements for the 2025 season with the possibility for two further season extensions.
