There are wonderful café facilities at a number of OPW heritage sites.
We expect all aspects of a visit to an OPW Heritage Site, including the Cafés and Tearooms, to showcase the best of Ireland for our domestic and international visitors. The food and beverage offering plays a key role in the presentation of our national heritage.
These cafés are run on a concession basis with the concessions advertised on e-tenders as they arise.

The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland invite submissions from suitably qualified candidates for the operation of the Café at CHARLES FORT HERITAGE SITE, KINSALE, CO. CORK.
Just forty minutes drive from Cork city, at the start of the Wild Atlantic Way, the Charles Fort Heritage Site presents a fantastic visitor experience and is a popular destination for both foreign and domestic tourists.
Attractive conditions and concession arrangements for a duration of 1 year starting from the contract commencement date in 2026, with the possibility for three further extensions.
