Site Accessibility
We offer free entry for those with disabilities and their accompanying carers at all of our sites where an admission charge applies.
Information about each site’s accessibility can be found on their individual web pages. If you’d like to visit a specific place, but have any concerns about accessibility or queries about the facilities on offer, please contact the site directly.
Assistance dogs are welcome at all of our sites.
Irish Sign Language
We run a programme of Irish Sign Language tours at sites around the country. Entrance to the site and tour are free of charge but places are limited so participants are asked to book in advance.
Neurodiversity
We are working to make our heritage sites more autism-friendly. Many of our guides have received training from AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity and our sites are in the process of developing Social Guides to help you prepare for your visit. This information can be found under the ‘Social Guide’ section of their individual web pages. If you’d like to visit a specific place, but can’t find the information online, please contact the site directly.
Just. A. Minute
We are JAM card friendly.
Many of our Guides have undertaken JAM training to ensure you have as much time and patience as you need when visiting our OPW sites.
