EDUCATION EVENT: 3D PAPER COLUMNS!

During this FAMILY-FRIENDLY workshop our participants will explore some of the architectural structures at Dublin Castle. This time, we'll be taking our inspiration from the 5 Orders of Architecture as they relate to the rooms of the State Apartments!

Together we'll learn about the Georgian Palace that was built on the site in the early 18th century and the characteristics of Georgian Architecture. In light of our Science theme for the year, we'll also explore compression strength in the context of our classical columns!

Participants will use materials from the Education Room to create their own 3D PAPER COLUMNS!

This is an opportunity to LEARN, DISCUSS and CREATE using the rich art collection of the State Apartments at Dublin Castle.
