Come along and celebrate National Heritage Week on a Guided Tour of the Dubh Linn Gardens!
Tucked away in the heart of metropolitan Dublin are the Dubh Linn Gardens, named after the black pool which gave the city its name. The gardens form a welcome retreat for workers as well as visitors to Dublin Castle and the Chester Beatty Library. Shade trees, shrubs and flowers filled with heady scents, make this not only a restful green space for humans but a welcome oasis for biodiversity in the city.
This National Heritage Week, join Charlotte Salter-Townshend to discover how the gardener’s considered work here allows birds, bees, and other species to thrive. Charlotte is a Marketing Officer for Heritage Ireland OPW. For a decade, she worked a guide at the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, designing and delivering talks and tours on a wide range of topics and issues relating to plant life.
