Winter is extra special when the ‘bones’ of the gardens are revealed and a spectacular winter landscape unfolds. Evergreen plants take centre stage at this time of year and deciduous plants provide architecture. This fact filled walk, led by one of our experienced guide staff, will focus on some of the best plants for winter interest, including flowering shrubs and plants grown for their eye-catching bark and fruits.
The Bones of the Botanics tours will take place on the 14th, 17th, 21st, 24th, 28th and 31st January at 11.30am.
Please dress for the weather and wear walking shoes. The meeting point for the tours is at the main entrance to the gardens, near The Acton Cafe.
No booking required, the tours are free!
If you would like to book a tour outside of these times please do not hesitate to get in touch kilmacurraghgardens@opw.ie or 0404-48844.
