Book Launch: The Parks & Gardens of Dublin with Christy Boylan.

Christy Boylan is a lecturer at Technological University Dublin and an adjudicator for the National Tidy Towns Competition and Entente Florale Europe. In May 2015, Christy was the inaugural winner of the World Urban Parks Distinguished Individual Award.
Ireland's maritime climate and history of demesnes have created significant gardens rich in artistic heritage and global plant collections. This book explores the history of over 150 parks and gardens in Dublin, from the vast Phoenix Park to the tiny pocket park around Anne Devlin's statue in Rathfarnham. Dublin's public parks, celebrated at the 2007 World Parks Congress, blend modern trends with heritage, with active involvement in the World Urban Parks organization.
