Through this installation of tondi oil paintings, drawings on paper and sculptural elements made from porcelain and aluminium, Karen Ebbs explores the idea that life is not a linear procession moving directly towards a set goal.

Life is rather a series of continuous spirals — a search for meaning; a messy labyrinth of course corrections and perceptual shifts — all the while accumulating beliefs and knowledge; oscillating between interior and exterior focus; evolving; seeking out the numinous to elevate us from the human condition of suffering. On and on we circumambulate — our feet are planted on earth while our hearts seek to belong and to experience the “divine”.

Open Wednesday to Sunday 10.30am - 5pm until 5th Jan (please check Christmas opening arrangements before visiting). Last admissions 4.15pm. Admission free.
