As part of our Education Programme, we're delighted to offer an Exhibition Tour to members of the public this April.
Join Tour Guides Stephanie and Áine in this interactive discussion on selected works from the Irreverent Ireland exhibition.

The exhibition features vast theatrical paintings by the Dutch artist Willem Van der Hagen.  These hangings, created for a grand celebration in 1731, transformed the Castle into an Italian-style fantasy of dreamlike landscapes.  Drawing on two selected artworks from the exhibition, Áine and Stephanie will guide visitors in observing, describing and interpreting the artwork of Van der Hagen.

This tour will last approximately 60 minutes and will leave from the Education Room in the State Apartments at 2:30 pm. Booking is essential, as places are limited.  Booking is by email only.
Time: 2:30 - 3:30 pm
Date: Sunday, 12th April, 2025
