EDUCATION EVENT: ST PATRICK STAR BADGES!
During our FAMILY-FRIENDLY workshops we explore some of the objects and artworks within the collection at Dublin Castle. This time, we'll be taking our inspiration from the ROBES on display in St Patrick's Hall!
Together we'll observe, describe and interpret these costume pieces, paying special attention to the sky blue colour, the gold and silver threaded cordons and the silver and enamel 'star' of St Patrick. Taking our inspiration from the 8-pointed star worn by the Knights of the Order of St Patrick, participants will create their own STAR SHAPED BADGES!
This is an opportunity to LEARN, DISCUSS and CREATE using the rich art collection of the State Apartments at Dublin Castle.
This workshop is free of charge. Booking is essential, as places are limited! Booking is by email only.
