Information on the speakers:
Paul Smyth is a young gardener with a great reputation. He writes books, appears on tv and has recently taken over the reins of the RHSI garden in Bellefield, Shinrone, which was created by the late, great gardener, Angela Jupe. Paul will talk about Angela, Bellefield and the RHSI plans for Bellefield.
Karl Flynn will talk about the thirty years he has spent developing his garden on the summit of Howth Hill in Dublin. He will explore the evolution of the garden, an extravaganza of exotic plants and good design.
Kitty Scully is a renowned kitchen gardener. She will share some of her well tried and tested methods of growing great vegetables. Suitable for beginners and seasoned vegetable growers alike.
Having spent many years as one of the driving forces behind in the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin, Paul Maher is also renowned as a garden designer. He will share some of his recommendations for getting the most out of your ornamental garden.
Colm Mangan is our expert on the gardens at Kilkenny Castle. Every year he finishes off the spring series of talks with a walk and talk session around the Castle Park. This is always the highlight of the series and a perfect round-off to the programme.
All talks are free and on a first come first serves basis. Doors open at 7.30 pm each Tuesday. Talks start at 8pm sharp. See www.kilkennycastle.ie / @kilkennycastle for further details.
