A black and white photo of a man in Glendalough with an old camera.

Not everyone was able to travel to Glendalough in the 19th Century but with the advent of the camera and through the entrepreneurship of such people as William Lawrence; visitor attractions such as Glendalough were opened up to those who could afford to buy postcards through the Lawrence collection.

Join one of our guides on a walking tour to the viewing points of many of these images, discussing the past and present. Participants of the tour will be invited back to the OPW Visitor Centre to watch a video of this extensive collection of images compiled by Glendalough Heritage Forum and supported by ICAN, NMI.
