An Illustrated Talk for Heritage Week 2024

Come and join us as we celebrate Heritage Week in the beautiful location of King John’s Castle, Dungarvan.

Liam Suipéil has long been interested in local history - from a storytelling perspective. He believes that these stories are important and should be preserved for future generations. The Cunnigar, or An Chois, has served many different purposes for peoples and communities, especially those in the adjacent Gaeltacht, down through the ages.
This illustrated talk will tell stories of how this sand-spit has served the local people in times past - even to the present day.
