Heritage Week 2024

‘An aristocrat without a servant is as much use to the county as a glass hammer’- Dowager Countess Crawley, Downton Abbey.

Such was the dependence by the upper and middle classes on the Victorian servant.

Join us this heritage week as we follow in the footsteps of the Victorian servant, through the corridors and staircases of Farmleigh House. Imagine their daily tasks and picture yourself working in ‘The Big House’ of the 19th century.

Important information-  This tour involves walking up and down stairways, through corridors and on uneven floors.

Suitable for visitors aged 8 plus.

Meeting point: Motor House Reception in the Courtyard
