The renowned guitar duo Marco Ramelli and Enrica Savigni will present a programme centred on the theme of song, explored through the evocative sound of classical and romantic guitars. Spanning from the 17th to the 20th century, the concert highlights the expressive power of song and folk melody across a range of cultures and musical traditions. The programme features works by some of the finest composers for the guitar and beyond, including John Dowland (1563–1626), Turlough O’Carolan (1670–1738), Niccolò Paganini (1782–1840), Gioachino Rossini (1792–1868), Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847), Clara Schumann (1819–1896), Johannes Brahms (1833–1897), Isaac Albéniz (1860–1909), Antonio Jiménez Manjón (1866–1919), and Frederic Mompou (1893–1987).
Please note: As parking in the grounds of the Castle is strictly limited, a courtesy return shuttle bus will operate between Carrigtwohill Railway Station and Barryscourt Castle.
