Portumna Castle & Gardens is delighted to announce a new exhibition of paintings for the month of June (June 5th - 28th)

These collections are entitled 'Pastoral' and "Memories of my walk" and are by Galway artist Maeve Callanan. Many of these paintings were painted during Covid.

To quote Maeve:
"During lock down our world became smaller, but we were allowed to walk.

I ambled the lanes of Ryan's Point, along the shores of Lough Derg. It gave me ample time to study the plants and trees. I drew them and in the studio, they were transferred with paint to paper."
