Punch Lion and the Office of Public Works will present a family friendly comedy event at Farmleigh House and Estate on Sunday, 15th September. A programme will run daily from 12pm to 5pm.
Farmleigh House welcomes you for a big giggle this September. The event will present stand-up comedy shows, workshops, amusing story-telling, silly circus performers, DJ and games on the green.
Performers confirmed for the stand-up comedy shows include Steve Cummins, Paul Tylak , Reuben of RTEjr, Sharon Mannion, Graeme Singleton, Diane O’Connor, Danny Kehoe and Kevin Gildea.
Kelly Shatter will facilitate the comedy workshops for children aged 5 – 7 and 8 – 12. Fighting Words will facilitate a writing workshop. The Fanzini Brothers will present their Impossible Circus.
The Farmleigh Farmers Market will run also from 10am to 5pm with a variety of food stands to choose from including many award winning food producers and vendors. The market includes locally made products at the beautiful craft stands.
Stand-up comedy shows are recommended for children 6+ and children must attend with an adult. Comedy workshops are limited to 15 participants and are ‘first come first served’.
Punch Lion produce stand-up comedy shows for children and facilitate comedy workshops for children and teenagers. Co-producers include The Ark, Temple Bar, Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda and Draiocht, Blanchardstown, Belfast Comedy Festival and the Spleodar Arts Festival, Co. Tipperary.
