Brought to you by the OPW in association with the Indian Classical Music Society of Ireland, Raga Reverie: An Afternoon of Sarod & Tabla

Prattyush Banerjee is one of the leading exponents of North Indian Raga music and a foremost contemporary Sarod maestro. Over the past three decades, he has established himself as a compelling performer, innovative composer, and visionary instrument designer. With over four decades on stage—since his public debut at age 11 - Prattyush has performed at top Indian festivals and internationally. Prattyush has contributed significantly to albums, orchestras, choirs, TV series, and films. He has collaborated on various crossover projects and continues to mentor a growing number of international students. A pioneering instrument designer, Prattyush has extensively redesigned the traditional sarode and created its first electric version. Prattyush’s performances are known for their depth, spontaneity, and accessibility, captivating both seasoned connoisseurs and new listeners alike.
Accompanying Prattyush on the Tabla will be Gurdain Rayatt - a renowned Tabla player from England; adding rhythmic depth and complementing the sarod’s lyrical expressiveness.
