The foundation of the town of Ennis began when the ruling O’Brien clan created a stronghold on the river Fergus and brought a small household of friars to Ennis in the 13th century.
To mark Heritage week join us for a talk by Fr. Liam Kelly OFM, Lecturer in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies in Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.
