From portraiture to studies in pen & ink, Sheelagh Duff presents an eclectic mix of her work in the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre throughout November.
Sheelagh hails from the Boyne Valley and has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally since her first "one-woman" show in The Little Theatre, Brown Thomas in 1967.
In 1987 She was commissioned by the Office of Public Works to produce an "An Illustrated Record of the Phoenix Park" consisting of 150 pen & ink drawings of the park`s built heritage.
Sheelagh works in various media, working with materials and threads in a stylised manner, sometimes using religious icons as centre pieces for decorative embroidery. Some of her favourite subject matter in both drawing and painting is portraiture, floral compositions and ecclesiastical architecture.
The exhibition runs in the visiting exhibition room throughout November.
