EDUCATION EVENT: SPECIALISED ART TOUR!
The Education Team is delighted to offer a Specialised Art Tour as part of our programme for Heritage Week 2025! Join Tour Guide Charlotte on a tour that explores the work of Sir Godfrey Kneller (1646 - 1723), the famous 17th and early 18th century portrait painter.
Using selected portraits in the art collection of the State Apartments, Charlotte will explore the life, style and influence of this German-born British painter. She will also discuss the fashion of the sitters as depicted in these paintings.
Learn about how Sir Godfrey Kneller came to prominence in a warm and engaging tour at Dublin Castle!
This tour is free of charge. Booking is required as places are limited. Bookings are by email only.
