The OPW are delighted to announce "The Desmond Sessions" a series of musical, dance and poetry performances at Desmond Castle, Newcastle West.

The performances will all take place in the atmospheric surrounds of fully restored medieval banqueting hall at Desmond Castle where for centuries performer's entertained the Earls of Devon. Performances take place each Sunday at 6pm in October and include the traditional Irish music and dance group "Los Paddys" and poetry readings by Sarah Clancy, Dyrt & Séamus Barra Ó Suilleabháin. There will also be music recitals by Mikie Smyth on the uilleann pipes and Pádraig MacAodhgáin on concertina.
