My Favourite Place
OPW Heritage Services recently recorded a special series of short videos titled My Favourite Place.
The series features members of the Guiding Team from five of our heritage sites across the country, each sharing their favourite place within their site and explaining what makes it so meaningful to them. In each video, the guide places a wooden map of Ireland at their chosen location.
Their stories provide a unique insight into the rich history, natural beauty and distinctive character of these remarkable places.
The sites featured in the series are Rathfarnham Castle, Castletown House, Ennis Friary, The Blasket Centre/Ionad an Bhlascaoid and Swiss Cottage.
