Obelisk Bridge Closure Notice.

Jon’s Civil Engineering Company Ltd on behalf of Louth Co. Co. are to carry out extensive rehabilitation works to the Obelisk Bridge on the L16014 over the coming next 10 months, from 21 August 2023.
Louth Co. Co. have arranged for a road closure.
The proposed date for closing the bridge/road is Monday 21 of August. Please note that the Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre and the Oldbridge Estate will be open as normal – access only via M1 Exit 9 or through the Signed Diversion Route through the Town of Drogheda.
Bus information:
TFI Local Link Route 188 Athboy to Drogheda will make getting around Meath and Louth by bus even easier. Route 188 will
operate 8 times per day, 7 days a week – creating a new connection to Kentstown and Duleek. Route 188 will provide improved
access to Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange) and the Battle of the Boyne as well as improved connectivity to regional bus services and
hospitals in both Drogheda and Navan.
