Get hands-on with history! This National Heritage Week join Explore Archaeology to discover Kilkenny Castle’s medieval past and hold history in your hands.

Explore Archaeology will bring the 15th & 16th C to life through our interactive (and most importantly, fun!) archaeology workshops – combining living history, Tudor archaeology and a medieval heraldry activity (where children can make, and take home, their own shield with their coat of arms)

Perfect for children aged 5 – 12, 6 workshops will be delivered by archaeologists from 10am until 4pm and will run for an hour. These workshops are bookable in advance by emailing xarchaeology@gmail.com  or in person on the day!
