Scattery Island contains the remains of a 6th century monastic settlement founded by our local Saint Senan featuring a very distinctive high round tower, cathedral church and several medieval churches and holy well.

The island also has a working lighthouse , an early 19th century Napoleonic Gun Battery and wonderfully restored village cottages all to be explored during your visit.
