EDUCATION EVENT : SPECIALISED HISTORY TOUR!

Join our Tour Guide Alan on a tour that explores two specific attacks launched on Dublin Castle in the 16th and 20th century!

In 1534, Thomas Fitzgerald, the 10th Earl of Kildare (also known as Silken Thomas) launched an attack on Dublin Castle during his rebellion against Henry VIII. In 1916, Sean Connolly of the Irish Citizen Army launched an attack on Dublin Castle during the Easter Rising.

The tour will examine the links between these attacks and their relevance to the history of Dublin Castle.

This tour is free of charge. Booking is essential, as places are limited! Booking is by email only.
