If you've visited Phoenix Park (OPW), you've probably noticed the 203 ft high obelisk commemorating the 'Iron Duke'!

Join our Tour Guide Daragh on a tour that explores the military prowess of Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington, and his relevance to the history of Dublin Castle as the former seat of British Rule.

The tour will also examine the question of 'Why, Wellington?' From all of those who served the Castle's history, why did Wellington end up in the history books?

This tour is free of charge. Booking is essential, as places are limited! Booking is by email only.
