Down along the waters of the Shannon, seanchaí Conni Dawson brings us the tales of two formidable women connected to Ireland’s great waterways. The namesake queen of Enniskillen, Ceithleann of the Crooked Teeth, and the woman for whom our longest river is named, granddaughter of the king of the sea, Síonnan.
In a one woman show, Conni will transport you to the windswept island of Tory, through the plains of Moy Tura, the mist-erious island town of Enniskillen and down 300km of Ireland’s greatest river to find the essence of a goddess.
Embark on a journey to discover how legend is made manifest all around us through story, song and the ancient sound of the harp.
The event is free, but booking is advised as places are limited.
